Catechist and Assistant Registration

FAMILY FAITH FORMATION: CATECHIST AND ASSISTANT REGISTRATION

Thank you for your interest in being a catechist or assistant catechist in our Family Faith Formation program for the 2020-2021 program year.

We are excited to introduce a digital/ online curriculum for Grades K-6 called "Christ in Us."
There will be a textbook, online pdf version of the textbook, and online portals for the children that include lessons, videos, activities, and assessments.
Parents and Catechists will have their own online portals where they can access the materials, track the children's progress and share in the faith formation journey.

For First Communion Prep and for grades 7 and 8 (including Confirmation Prep), there will be different online programs that may also involve some on-site activities. We are finalizing the details of the program.

Catechists will need to:

  • Be familiar with and use Zoom to conference with parents on a monthly basis or as needed
  • Be able to log in and navigate the online portal for "Christ in Us" (Training will be provided)
  • Be able to communicate effectively with SJPII staff, catechists, parents, and children
  • Attend on-site training and occasional activities where there may be a large group of people, wearing masks and respecting social distancing as much as possible

If you are able to meet these requirements and have a love of sharing your faith with children and their families, we welcome you to complete and submit the form below.

Registration forms will be accepted through August 21st.
